Hyundai Assist Privacy Policy
Introduction
The purpose of the HyundaiAssist app (Herein referred to as “HyundaiAssist”) is to provide roadside assistance to Hyundai Financial Services customers.
The privacy policy governs the use of the Roadside Assist portal and the HyundaiAssist app, and explains how we collect, safeguard and use the information that results from your use of our Service. We use your Information to provide and improve our Roadside Assistance service to our customers. By using HyundaiAssist you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.
Unless otherwise defined in this Privacy Policy, the terms used in this Privacy Policy have the same meanings as in our Terms and Conditions.
Definitions
- Service -Roadside assistance service provided to Hyundai customers requesting assistance in the event of a mechanical breakdown of their vehicle
- LiquidTrack Portal – A website portal used by the HyundaiRoadside Assist Agents to track Service Providers and Roadside Assistance Requests
- Service Provider – Tow truck operator appointed by Hyundai to provide roadside assistance to Hyundai customers.
- LiquidTrack – Mobile application used by service providers to accept Roadside Assistance Requests and provide Roadside Assistance Services to HyundaiAssist customers
- Customer – Any person with an active Hyundai HyundaiAssist product. The User corresponds to the Information Subject, who is the subject of Personal Information.
- HyundaiAssist – Application used by customers to request roadside assistance
- Roadside Assist Agent – An employee of LiquidCapital assisting customers with roadside assistance requests
- Roadside Assist Call Centre – Call centre to provide roadside assistance for Hyundai Financial Services customers
- Personal Information – Information about a living individual who can be identified from those Information (or from those and other information either in our possession or likely to come into our possession).
- Usage Information – Information collected automatically either generated by the use of Service or from Service infrastructure itself (for example, the duration of a page visit).
- Cookies – Small files stored on your device (computer or mobile device).
- Responsible Party – a Natural or legal person who (either alone or jointly or in common with other persons) determines the purposes for which and the manner in which any personal Information are, or are to be, processed. For the purpose of this Privacy Policy, we are a Information Controller of your Information.
- Operator (or Service Providers) – Any natural or legal person who processes the Information on behalf of the Information Controller. We may use the services of various Service Providers in order to process your Information more effectively.
- Data Subject – Any living individual who is the subject of Personal Information.

Location Information
HyundaiAssist collects this Information when the HyundaiAssist app is running in the foreground (app open and on-screen) or background (app open but not on-screen) of your mobile device.
.We use and store information about your location if you give us permission to do so (“Location Information”). We use this Information to provide features of our Service, to improve and customize our Service.
You can enable or disable location services when you use our Service at any time by way of your device settings. However, if you do not enable location tracking for background services, you will not be able to use the intended roadside assist service. You can still request assistance by phoning our Roadside Assist Call Centre
Device Information
HyundaiAssist may collect Information about the devices used to access our services, including the operating systems and versions, unique device identifiers. The information is used to send status updates to the device regarding the status and progress of the roadside assist request. Further device information like hardware make and model will be collected at the time of an application error to determine the cause of the of the error.
Tracking Cookies
We use cookies and similar tracking technologies to track the activity on our Service and we hold certain information.
Cookies are files with a small amount of Information which may include an anonymous unique identifier. Cookies are sent to your browser from a website and stored on your device. The security, accuracy and integrity of the Information on the Hyundai website (“Website Information”) and mobile app is of material importance to Hyundai Hyundai accordingly reserves the right to conduct whatever verification of your identity and details it deems appropriate prior to Registration Confirmation, and to use whatever technological and other measures it deems necessary to detect and prevent unauthorised access or attempts to gain unauthorised access to the Website Information or to restricted pages of the Hyundai website and mobile applications.
You hereby agree to allow Hyundai to take all reasonable steps to ensure the integrity and security of the Website Information, Mobile Application Information and related back-office applications and agree to which Hyundai may notify you with from time to time regarding access to the Website Information or Mobile Application Information.
Any person who delivers or attempts to deliver any damaging code to the Hyundai website and mobile applications or attempts to gain unauthorised access to any page or mobile application or to any Website Information may be prosecuted and civil damages may be claimed in the event that Hyundai or any of its customers suffers any damage or loss.
